What a wonderful wee gem of a hotel. This sits on the Main Street as you go through Mey and we were so lucky they had a vacancy. We had been given a room but when they say my mobility wasn’t the best they moved us into the accessible room which was greatly appreciated … Our dinner was excellent with a great choice on their menu, wonderful Scottish produce and cooked so well. Lovely stay and excellent hosts … thank you

Euan and Emma, owners, are lovely and welcoming. The 5 guest rooms are on the small side, as expected, as they were constructed in the mid 1800's. The rooms have been completely remodled and are clean and comfortable. The guest lounge and bar are charming; the bar well stocked! We were offered 8 choices from the dinner menu and our choices, beef stew and a chicken ham and leek pie were tasty. Two thumbs up from us!

What a beautiful hotel! Couldn't ask for a better place to stop. Euan and Emma were fantastic hosts, and even remembered my Dad who had been a guest of theirs a few years previous. Amazing food! Lovely room. Really didn't want to leave! Will definitely be back! You won't find a better hotel on the NC500!

Thankyou Emma and Ewan for a delicious dinner in your restaurant last night! We felt so welcome and the food was beautifully cooked and the local Whisky and beers fabulous. Lovely comfort food and just what we needed after a days traveling before settling into our accom nearby. Highly recommend this little gem. Regards Annie and Mike

We had an absolutely lovely stay a couple weeks back. Emma and Euan were incredibly personable, the room was very comfortable with nice bedding and cute décor (the cow hot water bottles!), and the food was so good. They have a really inviting snug around the bar, which we enjoyed. The whisky flights included ones selected by the hosts as 'their' list, it was such a cute touch and really interesting to get to hear why they put certain ones on their lists. The hotel was pretty convenient for the ferries as well! Highly recommend to anyone needing accommodation in the area.

The Mey hotel was really nice and in a great position for the ferry across to Orkney. We had great service and food from a lovely friendly couple and would return in a heartbeat. Warmest wishes, Michael and Susie x
